St Michael, MN

I saw this on the way home from helping Todd move,
but since I was on the highway,
I had to get off at the next exit, head the opposite direction,
and then exit and get back on the highway again.
5 miles out of my way,
20 minutes later,
and parked dangerously on the side of the highway,
this messed up heron (?) was more than worth it.

Long gone

This little dude looked totally calcified. Spotted on Park between Clinton and Vanderbuilt.

House hunting

Seems to me that the dead bird calling cards I keep finding on my house hunt are marking the roughest houses. Here is another one from the last hunt

Floating to Heaven

Todd's been house hunting.
He saw this bird floating in a backyard pool at one of the houses,
and creeped out his real estate agent by kneeling down and taking this photo.

Thud!

Tina and Jason were working at 122 when they heard a massive thud. Immediately T knew what was up, The Clear Wall of Doom (3 side by side 2' x 4' kitchen windows) had claimed another feathered friend. I was told this little guy was still alive when they raced outside and found him sprawled out in the grass...and seconds later he expired.

This bird was found at the bottom of the steps leading down into the basement apartment of one of the dogs that I walk. I don't know how it got there or how it died but it was totally intact and untouched. It was pretty too. This photo doesn't do it justice.
